Ink pencils are awesome.

I don't know how to use them.

Because I'm Hot

Was having a real bitch of a day with regards to drawing, and then suddenly this happened:

SKETCHINS:

INKINS:

NO COLOURINS. Waiting on a new tablet.

I'm gonna have to blame inFamous for my current obsession with Super Things. Like my previous post, this is actually a do-over of an old character. He was originally pretty with a mohawk, but I draw enough pretty things with mohawks, so now he's kind of haggard with something dangerously close to a pompadour.

I kind of liked the inking when I first finished it, but now I'm not sure.

Edit Oh, gross! The inks aren't this fuzzy in real life, but either I used the wrong setting when I downsized or Photobucket's being crap again.

Son of Edit Right, replaced the fuzzy crap with a much nicer version of the inks.

HO HO HO

GREEN GIANT.

(Not really the green giant)
Thought it might be a cool idea to use oil pastels.

It wasn't.

POW.

I finished that pic-chur, innit?
My tablet died before I even started, so this was coloured with a mouse. I'm rubbish at painting anyway, but doing it with a mouse makes it ALL THE WORSE.

What is a background
oh
you mean those things that are for losers?

Bits and Pieces

This month I have been a BUSY LITTLE BEE. This isn't everything, most of the rest consisted of more naked people and hands and other such riveting things.

Miscellaneous bits. The guy without skin is referenced from posemaniacs and came out surprisingly well given how SEVERELY I suck at foreshortening. That cat is the greatest thing I've ever drawn.

This is what my plans look like. I was trying to get some ideas down for a drawing of Elizabeth Bathory but it didn't want to behave with me. I really like the pose in the lower right, but given Bathory's apparent penchant for wearing stupidly huge ruffs, it wouldn't really work. I might revisit this.

More miscellaneous bits. The Sasquatch was done for the twitter doodle party set up by Dani Jones.

Redrawing a character I drew a little while back. I like this design more but the drawing itself is still looking kinda sloppy. Maybe I should sharpen my pencil once in a while.

I Am Dead.

I'm sort of neglecting this blog again, I'm just not really feeling super creative recently. I'm focusing instead on academic work which -- despite being worthwhile -- isn't all that exciting to look at, so I doubt I'll post much of that here.

I'm definitely jonesing for somewhere decent to bounce ideas off of people. SOMEONE PLEASE FIX.
